  • 12 teaspoon of dried oregano

Steps


  • In order to make the pizza dough, put the flour to a bowl first, followed by 300ml of warm water. The flour and water should be combined, then left to rest for an hour at room temperature. When the yeast activates during this period, the mixture will begin to bubble and ferment.

  • After an hour, combine the dough with 15g of salt and the yeast that has been dissolved in 2 tablespoons of water. Do your best to evenly sprinkle the yeast throughout the dough. The dough needs to be given time to double in size, so cover the bowl with cling film and place it somewhere warm.

Add a liberal amount of salt, oregano, and olive oil to the bowl. Use a stick blender to make it smooth, or combine everything with your hands for a thick sauce. After bruising them with the back of a knife, tie the basil stalks together and add them to the sauce. Before using it, keep the sauce at room temperature.

  • Prepare the pizza by turning the grill to the highest setting and grabbing a large frying pan. One of the dough balls should be stretched out onto a floured surface into a circle that is about the same size as the frying pan. Put the dough on a baking sheet that has been dusted with flour.

  • Give the dough a border around the edges and spread a quarter of the tomato sauce over it. On top of the sauce, scatter substantial amounts of cheese and a few basil leaves. Next, top with a quarter of the mozzarella.

  • Then, carefully place the pizza onto the heated frying pan. The pizza should be cooked for two minutes, then placed in the grill for an additional two minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Lift the pizza onto a board with a spatula, pour some extra virgin olive oil on top if you'd like, and then cut it into wedges. Pizza is served while you prepare the next one.
